Online service is the worst. I'm very displeased!

Hello all,
first of all let me tell you that the books are really good, but the online service is just really bad.
I've bought 3 books on January part of a promotion (buy 3, pay two). One of the book (who wonders, it was the free copy) wasn't available at the moment of the order and it said I had to wait till April, 20th for it to be available.
it is now May, 26th, and after two requests by email they have let me know that the book is finally available, but I have to pay for it to be shipped?
I have to pay for the FREE copy that I've been waiting for more than a month?
This is unbelievable and simply not acceptable.
I really hope this is only a mistake and that they're going to fix it asap!

terrible experience

I've had terrible customer service from this company.
I ordered 5 books from them. all listed as available. when I finished placing the order and paid I got an email back telling me one was not available and would be sent to me once it was. the agreement that was made during the purchase was that they would make the whole shipment for 15$. a month after receiving the books I received an email telling me to make a bank transfer (which is costly$$$) for another 15$ for the shipment of the last book. something I never agreed to at the beginning. when I tried contacting them, I received automated responses saying they would be in touch. I never received a response. only an email telling me I had not made a payment and they were canceling my order.
I don't recommend to anyone ordering from them. or at all. their books often end up on the discount table in magazine shops anyways. as for me, it may very well be the last book I but from them.
for a company that aspires to such a high degree of professionalism, it sure is run like the Mickey Mouse club.

Ordered a book over a month ago and still haven't received

I ordered a book for my boyfriend's birthday over a month ago and I have yet to receive it. I understand that there may be some shipping delays due to COVID but 4+ weeks is unacceptable. I reached out to the company a week ago and haven't received any response besides the automatic one. I could have easily ordered the book off of Amazon but wanted to support an independent business.... Currently in the process of disputing the charge with my bank. Will not be purchasing from Taschen again.

I had a phenomenal experience and experienced no delayed shipping times...

So I’m writing this review in response to all of the negative ones that I’m seeing on here...
I ordered my book, Virgil Abloh Something’s Off (absolutely stunning book by the way, so glad they made a larger release through TASCHEN and it wasn’t a SNKRS exclusive.)
I live in New England. I received my order within 4 days of purchase.
So for those who are skeptical... I had a phenomenal experience. Granted I’m sure a lot has to do with location, as TASCHEN is a global publishing company, but I wanted to give my two cents to any prospective buyers.
5 Stars on my end. ????????????

The worst customer service

I wish I would check the reviews before buying from the site.
Ive been a fan of the brand for years. However this was the first time buying online directly from their store. Send an order without a book and the customer service rep just apologize saying it was their mistake and that’s was it. Nothing else.

The bad reviews were right and I wish I had…

The reviews were right and I wish I had seen them before placing an order for an expensive book with them in the EU. Two emails sent at the beginning of the month with no response. No news whatsoever if the book has even been shipped and I ordered it over a month ago. I will likely have to lodge a complaint with my bank to get my money back now. How is it so difficult for a company to get their act together and send a response in a reasonable time frame?

Terrible costumer service

Terrible costumer service - sent me the wrong book, no reply for weeks, now asking me to ship it back to them at a considerable expense to ME, even though it's their mistake. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM

Beautiful books!

I had read other peoples TrustPilot reviews regarding Taschen so I was a bit worried but I had a great experience with them.
I placed my order Sunday November 1st, it was shipped Monday 2nd of November and it arrived Wednesday 4th November.
They sent me a confirmation of purchase email and once my items were shipped they sent me an email with the invoice and tracking number so I could track my package. If it looks like they haven't sent you these emails, check your junk folder as thats where mine ended up.
The books are of excellent quality and very well packaged. If you have had issues I think its most likely because of your postal service and courier.
I am so impressed with the books I bought, they are truely fantastic and such a lovely gift (for myself lol).
The customer service team are also really polite and nice people. Communication is prompt and helpful and they kept me up to date every step of the way. I have since then purchased many books from Taschen and have started a collection, they truly are gorgeous books for such a good price.
Overall I am really happy with my experience and the products and I definitely will be shopping there again! I would 100% recommend them.

The customer service is so lame

The customer service is so lame, they even refused to help by contacting their courier DHL who had created problem after problem. For almost 3 month (!) now I'm waiting for a book or a refund. I think it's a shame because I like the TASCHEN-products very much. But online-ordering? Never ever again!

Poor communication, but trustworthy

I've had a bad experience previously with Taschen about which I told on this site. However, I recently received another book as a replacement of the book that apparently couldn't be delivered and I got my money back! Resumed: the communication with Taschen rather failed and I've been very worried and confused about not receiving any notice nor any answer to my mails to the customer service - however, in the end, after a lot of patience, they proved to be trustworthy anyhow. They got me back as a customer!

Don't use, books never received - July 2020

As many people on this website I ordered books in July 2020 for delivery in UK, which were never received and actually delivered to a totally different postcode in London. No answers from customer service for more than one month, which is unprofessional and not acceptable in 2020.

Never Order a Book from Taschen

Like many others on this review site, ordered a book that never arrived. Customer service sent me a link showing it had been delivered on a date before I actually placed the order to somewhere in Germany (I live in the UK). Repeated emails to customer service have been ignored after the first one that just got an automated response. Nice books, **** show of a company. Never, ever, ever order a book direct from Taschen
